Kohberger Now Has Reasonable Doubt

Brian Christopher Kohberger is a Pennsylvania man, who is accused of killing four college students, that attended the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, while he attended the University of Washington in Pullman, Washington as a doctoral student in criminal justice. The two universities are about 10 miles apart. One on either side of the border between the two states. The schools are connected by a state road known as Pullman road in Moscow, Idaho and the Pullman/Moscow highway in Pullman, Washington. The shock and awl from the killings stunned the nation and the world. The sad thoughts, that four people, who were so young with a long and prosperous life before them, could be lost in a tragic end.  The unthinkable happened in a small college town in Moscow Idaho on November 13 2022. The crime is estimated to have occured around 0400 PST.

Due to the extreme brutality of the knife attack, more traditional news organizations began covering the crime with relentless intensity.  Not only were mainline news organizations deep diving into Moscow Idaho, internet website sleuths were combing the channels and digging for clues as to what deranged mind could have engaged in such horror. A total dissection of the area had begun? Was this a result of a giant conspiracy, or the result of a lone wolf? What could have been the assailants motive? Theories to explain such an act abounded. No stone would be left unturned. Suddenly,  weeks later the Law Enforcement authorities announced they had a suspect and he was a Doctoral Student at the University of Washington. Brian Kohbeger had been followed from his college place of lodging to his home in the Pennsylvania Poconos as he returned for Christmas break. There at his family home he was arrested and arraigned back to Moscow, Idaho to stand trial.

The arrest of Brian Koberger at his family home in the Poconos of Pennsylvania was quite the drama. It appears that law enforcement used very aggressive tactics to apprehend Mr. Koberger. While Kohberger was  inside the family home they kicked open the front door and shattered a sliding glass door in the basement and held the entire family at gunpoint. Apparently during this mayhem Kohberger was tied  up and made some statements, however, he was not read his rights before those statements were made and Ann Taylor, who is Kohbergers attorney has asked the court to disregard those statements.

The Kohberger trial has been moved from Moscow, Idaho to Boise, Idaho, and Mr. Kohberger himself has been relocated from his cozy Moscow jail cell to a more spartan environment in Boise.  Boise Judge Steven Hippler will replace Moscow Judge John Judge. The Supreme Court of Idaho decided the Moscow location had been tainted by the intense media coverage. So the trial of Brian Kohberger is now going to be in Boise, Idaho.

Within the last week an interesting turn of events has manifested itself in favor of Mr. Kohberger. It appears there was a crime committed a year (2021) before the King road house killing in Moscow Idaho within 10 miles of the property. A home invasion was documented to have occured where Brain Kohberger was a “person of interest “. He was considered a person of interest 13 days after he was arrested in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. In the police body cam footage a woman claims a short man about 5 foot 3 inches tall entered her home with a knife and ski mask. The crime occurred at 3:30am in the morning which is similar to the time the King road killings took place. She claims to have kicked the man extremely hard and he fell back and ran out of the building. It appears the assailant in this case had the same modus operandi as the King Road killing. Brain Kohberger  is 6 feet tall. Not a short man.  Mr Kohberger has been removed as a person of interest in that case. The case has been closed and remains unsolved. Brian Kohebrger was not enrolled at the University of Washington when the home invasion occured in Pullman, Washington. Thus, The defense team for Mr. Kohberger now has a reasonable alibi that the real killer is still at large. That is, the same person who committed this home invasion committed the King Road killing, and Mr. Kohberger has been excluded.
