Alex Murdaugh the South Carolina attorney, found guilty of killing his wife and son, on his South Carolina hunting lodge property, was back in court on September the 14th, 2023 looking like a college athlete. The hearing was set to determine the trail date for the Gloria Satterfield financial crimes case. Mr. Murdaugh and others are alleged to have schemed to steel 4.3 million dollars from the Satterfield family (Mrs. Satterfields two sons), while representing them in an insurance claim do to their mother's accidental death on Alex Murduagh's property. Mr. Murdaugh is accused of about 101 financial crimes and this is the first one to go to trial. The new trial date set by Judge Newman will be November 27th, 2023.

During the hearing Murduagh's attorney, Dick "Harpootlian, argued intensely to delay the trail date. His most likely objective was to wait for the results of the Jury tampering accusations to come to fruition. That is, if it was determined to retry the murder case, could Alex Murduagh be set free if not convicted of any other crimes? Certainly room for thought.
